System Board Memory Configurations
These are the recommended combinations of memory-module kits. Each bank must contain
a matched pair of SIMMs having the same size and speed. The maximum (SIMMs/DIMM)
memory supported is 192 MB.
Bank 0 holds DIMM memory modules. Bank 1 and Bank 2 hold matched-pair SIMM memory modules.
The banks are filled according to the following memory tables. When installing SIMM memory, a matched-pair
is first installed into Bank 1, and then into Bank 2.
NOTE:
Only memory modules with a max. height of no more than 30.5mm (1.2 inch) can be installed
on the Type 6577, 6587 system board.
The following table shows the 8MB and 16MB standard memory module configurations.
