Setup Program (Type 8639)
The Setup Utility (configuration) program is stored in the permanent
memory of the computer. This program includes setting for the
following:
- Devices and I/O Ports
- Date and Time
- Security
- Start Options
- Advanced Setup
- ISA Legacy Resources
- Rapid Resume Manager
To run the Setup Utility program, do the following:
- Power-off the computer and wail for a few seconds until all in-use
lights go off.
- Power-on the computer.
- When the Setup Utility prompt appears on the screen during start-up,
press F1. The Setup Utility menu appears.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
Rapid Resume Manager
Personal computers come with built-in energy-saving capabilities. If the
computer you are servicing was shipped with DOS and Windows
preinstalled,
Rapid Resume Manager is available. Rapid Resume Manager reduces the power
