DASD Tray SCSI IDs/LED (Hot-Swap)
The SCSI IDs for DASD installed in the DASD Hot-Swap Tray Assembly (FRU P/N 06H3956) are set by
the automatic configuration program for the computer.
When a drive is initialized, the LED (mounted on the back of the tray in which the drive is installed)
should blink a few times and then stay on. Continuous blinking or failure of the LED to stay on might be caused by one of the
following.
NOTE: Always run the diagnostic program for the computer you are servicing before replacing a FRU.
- The tray is not seated properly
- The computer is not configured properly
- The tray, backplane, or drive is defective
