Using the UMA Inventory Data Feature with Tivoli Endpoints

In order to use the UMA Inventory Data feature with the TMA on Endpoints, the TME 10 Inventory Gateway, version 3.6 or higher, must be installed on one of the Managed nodes.
The gateway is installed as follows:

1.  Insert the Tivoli Inventory CD into the CD-ROM drive.
2.  From the TME Desktop, click on Desktop.
3.  Click on Install and then click on Install Product.
4.  Click on Select Media. The File Browser window appears.
5.  Select the appropriate drive letter and directory for the Inventory CD.
    (For most releases, TME 10 Inventory Gateway is installed from the Inventory directory; however,
    the directory name might be different based on the release and language.)

6.  Click on Set Media & Close. The Install Product window appears.
7.  Click on TME 10 Inventory Gateway, Version 3.6.
8.  In the Available Clients field, double-click on one or more of the clients listed.
9.  Click on Install & Close.
