Abstract: FAILOVER DOES NOT OCCUR IN A SERVERAID 3L/3H/3HB CLUSTER

SYMPTOM:

Failover does not occur in a clustering environment.

PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS:

FIX:

Set the SCSI Channel Initiator IDs assigned to the shared channels to IDs 6 and 7.

DETAILS:

Each ServeRAID controller and controller pair must have a different SCSI Channel Initiator ID assigned to the shared channels.

The IDs must be set to 6 and 7.
For example, one server, Server A, should be set to ID6 and the other server, Server B, should be set to ID 7.
